Euskaltel go missing in WorldTour-rankings

The UCI today released their updated WorldTour-rankings after the conclusion of the Paris-Nice. 44 riders have so far this year scored points - none of them from Euskaltel.

Alejandro Valverde naturally tops the standings after his blistering start to the campaign. The Movistar rider has already amassed 167 points.

In the team rankings, 16 teams have gathered points - again Euskaltel do not figure on the list. With the team not likely to score loads of points in the Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-San Remo or the cobbled classics, the pressure is on ahead of the Ardennes classics and the Spanish stage-races later this month and early the next.

Keep the faith, its how you finish not how you start that counts!
