Serebryakov's nightmare darkens

Alexandre Serebryakov looks to face an even longer than first expected road back into professional sport after in was announced the Russian also failed a test for EPO last year.

So reports Cyclingnews.

According to the website, the sprinter failed an out-of-competition control taken on 21 February 2012 -adding to the one he failed on 18 March earlier this year. The UCI allegedly used a new technique to spot use of the forbidden substance, a procedure with the ability to detect EPO in the urine for a longer amount of time.

It's not known how this "new" positive test will affect his ban from the sport. The B-sample from the failed test this year is yet to come back.
